1. About these terms
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") are an agreement between you and ANITA TECHNOLOGY LTD ("we", "us") about the mobile game VEYLAR: Rise of Shadows (the "Game") and the website veylargame.com. By downloading, installing or playing the Game you accept these Terms. If you do not accept them, please do not use the Game.
Please also read our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data.
2. Who can play
The Game is for people aged 18 or over. By playing you confirm that you are at least 18 and that you are allowed to enter into this agreement where you live.
3. Your account
- You can start as a guest or sign in with Google. A guest account lives on your device and on our servers; if you uninstall the Game or clear its data you may lose access to a guest account. Linking your Google account helps you get back in.
- Keep your sign-in details to yourself. You are responsible for what happens through your account.
- One person, one account. Do not sell, trade, rent or share accounts.
4. Virtual currencies and items
- The Game has two virtual currencies: gems, which you can buy with real money through Google Play, and chips, which you earn by playing, by claiming daily rewards, and which you can buy with gems.
- Gems, chips and every item in the Game (cards, avatars, frames, card backs and so on) are virtual. They have no real-world value, you cannot exchange them for money or for anything outside the Game, and you cannot transfer them to another player.
- When you buy something you get a limited licence to use it inside the Game. You do not own it. We may change the Game, the prices, the contents of the shop and how currencies and items work.
- Purchases are made through Google Play and are covered by Google Play's terms and refund rules. Unless the law gives you a right to a refund, purchases of virtual currency and items that have been delivered are final. If something went wrong with a purchase, contact us and Google Play.
5. No real-money gambling
Some game modes use chips as an entry stake and a prize pot to make matches exciting. This is simulated play for entertainment only. Chips are never real money, can never be cashed out, and the Game never pays out money or anything of real-world value.
6. Fair play and conduct
You agree not to:
- cheat, use bots, scripts, hacks, exploits or modified versions of the Game, or help others do so;
- harass, threaten or abuse other players, or post hateful, sexual, violent, illegal or otherwise offensive content in chat or in your display name;
- pretend to be someone else, or spam other players;
- try to disrupt, overload, probe or break into our servers or services, or to reverse-engineer the Game except where the law allows it;
- buy, sell or trade accounts, currencies or items outside the Game.
Chat is filtered automatically, but you are still responsible for what you write.
7. Disconnections and matches
Mobile connections drop. If you disconnect during a match the Game gives you a short time to come back. If you do not return in time, the match may be awarded to your opponent. Results and rewards are decided by our servers and are final.
8. Your content
Your display name and chat messages are your content. You allow us to store, show and moderate it as needed to run the Game. You promise that you have the right to use it and that it follows these Terms.
9. Our rights in the Game
The Game, its artwork, cards, characters, music, software and the VEYLAR name belong to ANITA TECHNOLOGY LTD or its licensors and are protected by copyright and other laws. These Terms give you only a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to play the Game. You may not copy or sell any part of it.
10. Updates and availability
We may update the Game to fix problems, balance gameplay or add features, and some updates may be required to keep playing. We try to keep the Game available, but we do not promise that it will always be uninterrupted or free of errors. We may change, pause or stop the Game or parts of it.
11. Suspension and ending
If you break these Terms we may warn you, remove content, suspend or delete your account, and take away items or currencies obtained unfairly, without giving a refund for them. You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account (see Delete your account).
12. Our responsibility
Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence or for fraud, or your legal rights as a consumer.
Subject to that, the Game is provided "as is". To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not responsible for losses that were not reasonably foreseeable, for loss of virtual items caused by something outside our control, or for problems caused by your device, your internet connection or third-party services such as Google Play.
13. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms, for example when the Game changes or the law changes. We will publish the new version here and update the date. If you keep playing after a change takes effect, you accept the new Terms. If you do not agree, stop playing and ask us to delete your account.
14. Law and disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. If you are a consumer, you also keep the mandatory consumer protection rights of the country where you live, and you may bring a claim in the courts of that country.
